The Palace of Knossos dates from the 2nd millennium BC. and is considered the administrative and cultural center of the Minoan civilization. According to mythology, the famous Labyrinth of King Minos and the Minotaur were located here.

Richtra waterfallRichtra, which is the pride of the inhabitants of Keratokampos, has a height that exceeds ten meters and has water during the rainy months of winter and spring. When it has enough water it forms a double waterfall of unique beauty.
The point can be reached by an easy path along the river from its exit to the sea. Above Richtra there are other higher waterfalls, but Richtra is the most famous as it is the most easily accessible.
